Emma is my brother. Or she was. One year ago, she had her final surgery and now she is not only emotionally and mentally a girl, but also physically. The portrait EMMA is a documentation about the every day struggle of a transgender, about family and about love. EMMA is a 60 minutes long portrait about my sister Emma. I tried to show a part of her mental state, her problems with being transgender, her strength and her will to speak up for other people. EMMA is a collage about family, love and the search for identity.
